Van augustus tot oktober verblijven Richard Kofi en zijn partner Junadry Leocaria als gastkunstenaars bij Bureau Postjesweg. Ze werken er aan nieuw onderzoek. In oktober vinden presentaties plaats, ook van hun eerdere werk. Van tekenen (Richard) tot performance (Junadry) en vertoningen van de films Imprenta en Drapetomania die ze samen ontwikkelden. Deze artistieke verkenningen zijn onderdeel van een groter onderzoek, waarin zij zich verdiepen in het (afro)futuristische concept Astro-Blackness. Hierbij gaat Zwart bewustzijn niet alleen uit van de relatie tot witheid en Eurocentrisme, maar wordt ook gezocht naar een Zwarte positie in relatie tot de natuur, de kosmos, mythologie, technologie en wetenschap.
Richard was de stadstekenaar van Amsterdam in 2021. Zijn tekeningen van mensen en straatscenes buiten het centrum werden gepubliceerd in dagblad Het Parool. Ook is recent een muurschildering naar zijn ontwerp opgeleverd aan het gebouw van Woonzorgcentrum De Boeg, Hoofdweg 495.

From August to October Richard Kofi and his partner Junadry Leocaria stay as guest artists at Bureau Postjesweg. They are working on new research. Presentations take place in October, including their earlier work. From drawing (Richard) to performance (Junadry) and screenings of the films Imprenta and Drapetomania they developed together. These artistic explorations are part of a larger investigation, in which they delve into the (afro)futuristic concept of Astro-Blackness. In doing so, Black consciousness is not only based on the relationship to whiteness and Eurocentrism, but also looks for a Black position in relation to nature, the cosmos, mythology, technology and science.
Richard was the city artist for Amsterdam in 2021. His drawings of people and street scenes outside the city center were published in daily paper Het Parool. Also recently completed is his mural on the building of Residential Care Center De Boeg, Hoofdweg 495.
