Vrijdagavond 8 juli vieren wij de finale van ‘Stadsmarkt Anders’ van Dimitri van den Wittenboer en Holger Nickisch bij Bureau Postjesweg. Te zien zijn de artistieke marktkramen en andere voertuigen - van kookeiland tot spelletjestafel en open podium - die de kunstenaars samen met de omwonenden, lokale kunstenaars en buurkinderen ontwierpen en bouwden. Wees welkom om dit alles onder het genot van lekker eten (met zelf gebakken brood uit de kleioven) te bekijken en beleven!
Voor twee maanden werd Bureau Postjesweg een zelf-georganiseerde werkplaats voor de buurt. Graag delen wij de resultaten en achtergelaten sporen, waaronder tekeningen, muziek, graffiti, de mobiele objecten en meubels, het maken van vuur… en ons nieuwste project de kleioven die we hebben gebouwd onder leiding van de kunstenaars Anna en Samira. De groeiende collectie rijdende objecten ondersteunde ook het onderzoek dat Dimitri en Holger op een speelse manier 8 zaterdagmiddagen op het August Allebéplein uitvoerden. Van wie is het plein? Hoe reageren de gebruikers op artistieke interventies? Hoe maak je een plek inclusief? Welke waarden horen daarbij behalve consumptie en commercie? Wat mis je? Wat kan en wat niet? Dimitri was als gastkunstenaar bij Bureau Postjesweg vrijwel continu aanwezig en kon zo de diverse processen goed begeleiden.

Onze dank gaat uit naar de kinderen van de Johan Greive buurt, naar Larissa en Willem, Hans en Kees, Abdelkader en Saida, Buba, Nathan, Gijs, Oscar, Paulina, Bernice, Shadi en alle andere deelnemers! Friday evening July 8 we celebrate the final of ‘Citymarket Otherwise’ by Dimitri van den Wittenboer and Holger Nickisch at Bureau Postjesweg. You can see the artistic market stalls and other vehicles - from a kitchen island to a game table and an open stage - that the artists designed and built together with the local residents, local artists and neighboring children. Be welcome to view and experience all this while enjoying good food (with homemade bread from the clay oven)!
For two months, Bureau Postjesweg became a self-organized workshop for the neighbourhood. We are happy to share the results and traces left behind, including drawings, music, graffiti, the mobile objects and furniture, making fire… and our latest project the clay oven that we built under the direction of the artists Anna and Samira. The growing collection of moving objects also supported the research that Dimitri and Holger carried out in a playful way on the August Allebéplein on 8 Saturday afternoons. Whose is the square? How do the users react to artistic interventions? How do you make a place inclusive? What values belong to this besides consumption and commerce? What do you miss? What is possible and what is not? As a guest artist, Dimitri was almost continuously present at Bureau Postjesweg and was therefore able to properly supervise the various processes.
